Sounds LikeI’ve chosen “The Dirty 13,” because I think it best exemplifies his ability to cram a novella into three minutes. Just him and a guitar — an angrier, wittier Billy Bragg is one way to approximate his style, though that’s far from exact, and he’s a lot more original than that. - WARREN FUCKING ELLIS "Sam Russo is putting out some of the most fabulous punk folk I’ve heard in a long, long time." - KEATH at ROCKSELLOUT.COM "What he lacks in finesse he makes up for with a hale and hearty vocal, cracked and rich." - Sonic Dice "At one point he told everyone to go to work the next day and smack their boss in the face as it’s ‘the best thing you could ever do, I really fucking mean it – do it’. Laughter ensued but this was no joke request – he really did fucking mean it!" - Danny Sambuca, Soic Dice

NEW ICH

LAST GANG IN TOWN presents….

ICH - Arguably the finest punk band to come out of East Anglia, they are deservedly headlining the Man on the Moon on Saturday 27th June. The last 5 years have seen this band become a local phenomenon and they’ve just secured a slot at the prestigious Rebellion punk festival in 2009. Mere words can’t describe their live performances, you have to see the band for yourself! ICH have been known to blow ageing punk bands off the stage and even incited stage diving at their unplugged gigs. With sharply observed lyrics and a barrage of guitars ICH’s punk anthems will have you punching the air and shouting along ‘til the cider runs out.

May 14 2009 7:09 PM

hey dude. that might've come out wrong - not hawaiian in a musical sense but in the easy-going charm and stripped down lo-fi feel i picked up a really laid back vibe. the summeriness of the "hawaiian holiday" must've come from a balmy summer night and road-trip. it wasn't so much about music - more atmosphere. perhaps i'll bob back and clarify that. i did properly enjoy you though. :) love jamie

"Sam Russo was great as an opening act – breezy, feel-good acoustic soul that’s a bit like Chris Murray on a Hawaiian holiday."
