Welcome to the Asia featuring John Payne Myspace.
John joined Asia as singer and bass player in 1991.He made several studio albums with Asia including Aqua,Aria,Archiva I & II,Arena,Aura ,Silent Nation and many live CD's including the live CD/DVD Asia - Live in the USA release.
In February 2006 John and fellow Asia members Guthrie Govan and Jay Schellen formed GPS and quickly recruited keyboard wizard Ryo Okumoto from Spock's Beard - the band's debut album 'Window to the Soul' was released in the Autumn of that year.
In May 2007 John formed 'Asia featuring John Payne'.A live CD 'Asia featuring John Payne - Extended Versions' has been released on Sony/BMG in the U.S and under the title 'Asia featuring John Payne - Scandinavia' on John's own Devgel label Worldwide.In November 2007 it was announced that Erik Norlander had joined John,Jay and Guthrie completing the line up.The band are currently working on the much anticipated album 'Architect of Time',due to be released in 2008 and their agents Red Entertainment are booking Worldwide tour dates.

John has released of a compilation CD 'Different Worlds' covering all aspects of his career to date . It is available through the
