Astral Records & Music is a boutique label based in Australia with offices in the UK, US and Europe and has been set up for the express purpose of acting as a development label to package industry ready artists to present to third party major record and publishing companies at the high end of the new music economy and independent record and publishing companies at the low end of the new music economy. The label prides itself on its multi genre artist roster and believes in a very simple but proven sales ethic in the market today, good music will always sell. To this end Astral launched its online storefront in May 2004 and by the end of September 2005 had already attracted 477,000 plus visitors to the site. To date the label has generated just over 5.5 million hits worldwide and is steadily increasing it's popularity each month. Since its relaunch as Astral Records & Music in March 2006 the site has done over 1M plus hits. Astral has a respected world wide network of partners in the US, UK, Europe and now Asia and believes in the creation of strategic alliances to strengthen its market position and create a greater network of exposure for its currently signed artist roster. The labels strengths are its people and its commitment to passion. Nearly all of it's working personnel are musicians, composers, producers or ex A&R dudes of one sort or another and this shows a distinctive understanding of todays typical artist mentality and how to best shape their careers. We are here to create, source and develop opportunities for artists and this is why we are multi genre and are openly looking for all different styles and types of artists to sign. Our definitive edge is to take fledgling artists with the talent to greater levels of world wide exposure by plugging them into an existing platform of television, feature film, advertsising and new digital media properties which already are distributed to over (64) countries around the world. The aim is to use our artist roster for theme tracks, TV openers, movie trailers, content based sports clips and other youth focused visual properties like high end 3D animation for both traditional broadcast and online web streaming with the many international partners we have around the world. Our partners include, SSG Music in Stockholm, Flashpoint Media (UK), Paramount Pictures, Miramax International, Dreamworks Pictures, My Coke/Fresh Tracks Music (US), Noma Music (LA), Pump Audio (NY), Lucki Entertainment, Undiscoverede Artists and dozens of agency's and music placement companies and studios around the world. The label recently signed a non exclusive label and distribution deal with Arbor Records / CD Plus and IODA Digital which will see its release schedule distributed and released to over 150 plus quality retail outlets across the world. In addition the deal will allow for our artists video content to be broadcasted online into over 70 plus digital media outlets and platforms across Europe in 2007. The mainstay digital retail accounts include, I Tunes, Burnlounge, Napster, MSN, Rhapsody, CD Plus, E Music, CD Baby etc... The current artist roster features, Konqistador (Aust), Janice Doll (Brazil), Natural Born Hippies (Denmark), Nikki McKibbin (Texas), Existend (UK), Muzzy Luctin (Wisconsin), Kitsch (UK), Samantha Lombardi (Aust), Tintannabulation (Germany), Dark Shift (US), Garrett Ramquist (US) among other artists in development.
