   About Audible Mainframe
There's no debate about it: Audible Mainframe has taken its place as one of hip-hop's most profound outfits. There are other groups that posture rap tactics over live musicianship, but Audible is the only one perched on the ridge where rhyme and rock climax.

Born and bred in Boston, MA, Audible Mainframe is out to take the music scene by storm. After ousting 35 rock bands en route to winning the 2003/2004 Beantown Meltdown, Audible earned the honors of becoming the only hip-hop act to ever play live on all rock radio station 107.3FM WAAF. With these accomplishments quickly under their belt, Audible sought bigger and better things. At the 2006 Mass Industry Committee Awards - Boston's Hip-Hop Award Show - the 7-piece outfit took home the prize for Best Live Group, while front man Exposition took home honors of Best Underground Artist.

In between their own studio albums and high energy live shows, Audible lends its collective talents and versatility to other artists as well. In early 2006 the band collaborated with hip-hop icons Tek and Steele of Smif N Wessun on a live anniversary edition of the duo's 1996 debut, "Dah Shinin'." To compound the list of legends they've worked with, Audible supported AND backed up Def Jam originator Slick Rick at his Boston, Phoenix, Santa Barbara and Hollywood tour stops. Other notable outings include performances with Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Lyrics Born, Arrested Development and backpack rapper to the stars Common.

On top of Audible's countless write-ups, critical acclaim, MySpace props and awards, the group's knack for rocking crowds of all shapes, tastes and sizes remains its dominant accomplishment. Having made major headway in the Northeast music scene bringing down the house and selling out venues like NYC's Knitting Factory and Boston's Harper's Ferry, Audible relocated to Long Beach, CA in late 2006. Reports from new fans and packed crowds from San Diego to San Francisco support what hip-hop heads and hipsters from Beantown to Baltimore and everywhere in between have known for years; Audible Mainframe is poised to dominate. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "Audible Mainframe has a way of making you appreciate the hip hop genre on a new level. First off, is their poetry that triggers chills as they cut to the raw core of social issues abroad and at home, from the plight of forgotten Iraqi children to political corruption, homelessness and close-minded cultural paradigms on our own soil. Esoteric poetry deserves only the highest quality in live hip hop cuts and this, they deliver without a hitch. The bottom line is that there are no corners being cut in this album. All around, it shines. Food for the mind, food for the compassionate humanity in us all, food for discrimating ears. Yum." -Tamara Turner (CDBaby.com) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "There are essentially three types of organic outfits with boom-bap frontmen: the good, the bad and the Korny. Audible is at the top of the first heat, with an ability to touch masses while barking at the Black Thought/Kweli demographic." -Chris Faraone (Boston Weekly Dig) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "This is one of Boston's best live local groups, guaranteeing a high-energy, original performance no matter what the venue." -Jessamyn Cuneo (Boston Live Magazine) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
