AVEC formed in 2003 and hail from Baltimore, MD. A real band
’s band, AVEC has consistently amazed show goers with their energetically emotive performances. The vocals duel between Shawna Potter’s whisper to roar and Brooks Harlan’s honest tenor melodies. They both trade off angular guitar lines for plastered chords. Drummer Scott Tiemann and bassist Adam Yeargin keep the rhythms tight to help those growling guitars stay afloat.
For their latest full-length release, lines, AVEC team up with producer / engineer J. Robbins. (Jawbox, Burning Airlines) The resulting 12 tracks journey through highs and lows and never fail to cut to the bone. The balance of technicality and raw talent give a certain piercing energy to AVEC that will leave you haunted.
