BACKDRAFT - SOUTHERN ROCK WITH A GEOGRAPHY PROBLEM
The statement above came from Kerrang Magazine, upon hearing the band's debut album "Here To Save You All" (Lunasound Recording/Plastichead), back in the fall of 2001. The album was universally praised for bringing together classic southern rock, metal, blues and country influences into a fresh, unique sound.
After a few years break, the band reformed to set up their own studio and record the follow-up album, "The Second Coming" (GMR Music), which was released in August 2007.
Backdraft guitarist David "Snejken" Nordlander decided to leave the band in December 2008. The band is however currently writing new songs, together with new guitarist Jon Sundberg (of Babylon Bombs fame) and working towards a new album in 2009! Stay tuned to this page for news as they unfold!
