..EXCITING NEWS...WE HAVE A GIG!!!. ..

Autum Gray have been kind enough to ask us to help them launch their new album on Saturday the 24th of July. We haven't played any shows for ages so we're very excited to get back in the saddle. We'll be taking the stage at about 8.30pm and playing a short and sharp set. The other bands are all excellent too, so come and check it out! You know you want to.

Basic Shape is a Melbourne based Indie/Pop/Folk outfit renowned for combining excellent musicianship with a keen sense of individuality. Delicately crafted from equal measures of folk and pop and combined with an indie sensibility, Basic Shape delivers a beautifully melodic song, possessing gorgeous harmonies, rich textures and moody undertones.

The 19th April 2008 saw Basic Shape launch their highly anticipated debut album "Boat Without A Sail". Recorded at Audrey Studios by Craig Pilkington the album is a warm and melodic introduction to the Basic Shape sound.

A very big thanks to everyone who attended our album launch at the Toff. We had a great night and really appreciate all the love and enthusiastic support you guys threw our way. It was incredibly satisfying to finally launch the album, on which we have toiled for many a long hour, in our home town in front of our friends and family. Thanks also to Jack's Castle and Peregrine for making the night a musical feast.
