關於我：
Evan Bayh (D-IN) is a United States Senator from Indiana currently serving a second term. During his time in the Senate, he has served as a leader in providing troops with much-needed armored vehicles, called for sanctions to put real pressure on Iran, and authored a comprehensive, bipartisan energy plan that would dramatically reduce dependence on foreign oil in 10 years. Prior to being elected to the Senate, he served two terms as Governor of Indiana.
Despite coming from the heavily Republican state of Indiana, he managed to outperform President Bush in the last election, winning over 63% of the vote. Bayh has a unique ability to pull together Democrats, Independents and reasonable Republicans.
One of his proudest political accomplishments was the creation of the 21st Century Scholars program, which provides underprivileged students the opportunity to attend college. The 21st Century Scholars program has helped more than 100,000 Hoosier students achieve their dreams of attending college and helped moved Indiana from 40th in the nation for sending students to college to ninth.
