We are an online (streaming only) diy radio operating literally out of a basement. We feature found sound, field recordings, story-telling (sometimes paranormal), dream-collecting, radio plays, live house shows and local in-home performances. We also support local and northwest music and other underground/indie music from around the world. We broadcast 24 HOURS A DAY everyday. For the month of March, Hollow Earth is focusing on fundraising - and we are trying our damndest not to have to do a silly pledge drive! Check out our Magma Festival Schedule, and find out how to buy a pass to all the rad events!
CONGRATULATIONS on the album release. I'm sure the release party will be amazing. Hate I'm gonna miss it. I'll celebrate in tandem by listening to the album here in Atlanta! Cheers!
I am currently reading Dear Isabelle by Jessica Swan. Here’s an excerpt from the book. I hope you enjoy it and I wish you much success in 2008.
Seattle rain always seems to fall sideways, as if flamboyantly disregarding the rules of physics. Invariably, it was the cross-current of winds that would push up and down simultaneously against the raindrops, until the exiled showers would have nowhere left to run, except ahead. Only ahead. But from indoors, the sideways rain is enchanting. It makes your window look a bit like a mirror that is forever shattering in slow motion. Thousands and thousands of glittering flashes splashing against the glass, each drop trying its best to break through. And the sound is so mysterious. Wonderfully mysterious. Almost like Mother Nature gently pressing her finger up to her lips to whisper a long hush.
i finally can listen to music on-line...well, actually i'm at my parents' house in NoDak. midwest baby! anywhoots, i've been listening to your on line songs lately! yay for free musique!!!
Thank you thank you thank you for bringing the shredding, swelling, beautiful noise to our humble basement. We cannot thank you enough, really. Let's do it again sometime.
i want to tame you. no. no i don't, yes. yes i do. no yes.....
if you ever want this man to picture and draw the sound of a beast being tamed. i would love to step out of myself and respond to that breaking of your horse with windows breaking and color coming and making things-beasts, be still.
making a symbol for that, that then covers a reflecting sound of that, that gets passed out like seeds in the wind to folks who then grow it into there heads with walkmens or car stereos on windy nights.
i love the new sounds. my soul is ringing with anticipation for more.
primetime 9 is really just a marketing show, we sit down and talk about investments primarily in currency exchange... and then we perform a few songs inbetween.
we should organize a collaborative show sometime, just so we can be the largest band in seattle for a night.
