Hello, after an unfortunate hiatus, the reasons for which are probably best not gone into here, we finally have some new music on the AUK MySpace site. For your listening pleasure this month we offer Nathan Oliver, Conrad Ford, the irrepressible Todd Snider and the delightful Beccy Owen. Don't forget too, for those of you within striking distance of Leicester, Electric Dustbowl 2 on 19 September.
Four more little sonic gems for your August pleasure are now available on the site. Blitzen Trapper, Boulder Acoustic Society, Jay Brannan and The Wiyos. Yet another fine quartet even though we say so ourselves as picked them out.
New tracks are up on the website for your listening pleasure. We have the hopefully appropriately titled “Sunshine” from Grantura, a track from the new Catie Curtis album, 166 seconds of cosmic pop from Daniel Wylie and, lest you think we’ve gone all soppy on you, “Head Full Of War from Jackie Leven.
Don’t forget The Electric Dustbowl at the Musician in Leicester on 20 September: £8 in advance buys you Peter Bruntnell, the Redlands Palomino Company, Thomas Denver Jonsson, The Havenots and Jim Jones. Gig of the year!
Just to let you know that Sanjuro is playing a nice and important gig on Monday (19th May) in Kingston (it’s just ten minutes from Waterloo!!). The grey horse is a very nice venue.
Moreover it matters for us because we’ll play in Glasto if the gig goes well.
Come and enjoy a good night with us, the support would be well appreciated!
Smoke Feathers have been invited to play at the INDY Music Awards media launch and short list announcement party on Wednesday April 2nd 7pm at the Rock Garden, Covent Garden, London.
It’s no guarantee that we have been shortlisted for the final, but we hope it is a good sign....
