Greg's Blurbs |
About me:
Born in Lubbock at a hospital that has since disappeared, I grew up an only child in both Dallas and Houston. I passed the time watching TV and staring at Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader posters until I felt stirrings I couldn't understand. Not having the coordination or heft to play football, much less meet cheerleaders, I turned my attention to punk rock and anti-establishmentism of all stripes. Upon graduation from high school, I moved to Austin to go to college and didn't leave. I wrote about and played music in a bunch of different publications and bands. I ate at a lot of buffets. I got a job with the state. In 2006, I met a girl from New England named Kate. I now realize she's the best thing that has ever happened to me. I still don't know what the hell I'm doing with my life, but I'm having a good time doing it.

Who I'd like to meet:
John Waters, Lyndon B. Johnson, Huey Lewis, Sarah Silverman, John Shelby Spong, Spike Lee, John Steinbeck, Jenna Von Oy from TV's "Blossom," some ancient, impressive-sounding philosophers whose presence here will make me appear more erudite than I really am.
