Before the Machine (BTM) comprises a well-oiled, solid group of musicians with a passion to pursue music as a career. Assembled in 2008, BTM combines elements of Rock, Metal, and Electronica to showcase their ability to break away from the simplicity found in today’s music. The guitar work, brought by Mike Lester, are reminiscent of earlier eras of Rock. The precise, driving drum parts of Jeb Mease, steam-roll through complex, unexpected time signatures. Tasteful, sleek bass lines mastered by Seth Nicholls fill the low end voids. Vocals presented by Johnny Throckmorton project power, range, and conviction; completing the band’s deliberate song-crafting.
