Hi, I'm Ben. I live in Nashville, TN, with my wife, Beth, and our growing bunch of kids. I play piano and keyboard on records. I also write songs and travel from time to time with my friends Andrew Peterson, Dave Barnes, Micah Dalton, Eric Peters and others. My first solo record, "The Ill-Tempered Klavier," released June 17th. You can download it (for a nominal fee) at www.rabbitroom.com. Come learn more about me and hear me ramble self-importantly at benshive.com.
Man. I admire you. Thanks for what you brought to the table. I really look forward to working with you again and i'll keep ya posted on getting ya down to TX for the release!
HEY, SHIVERS...are you playin' at the dave barnes/andy davis show @ stubbs here in austin? I had said hi to you last time on behalf of eric peters, but wondering if I would see your fancy piano skills again.
What a treat to see you and James playing with Micah last night. It's good to see some folks that actually look like they are enjoying what they do, very inspiring! Look forward to working again with you soon.

Ben (Three time sit-'n-reach olympic hopeful): awesome show last night! I'm glad I finally checked out "Behold the Lamb." I've been meaning to come for a while. It was fun watching you and the gang play musical chairs! What were you playing in your lap while sitting at the piano, btw?
Hey Ben! Am I finally gonna get to meet you and hear you play on the Andy P Christmas tour? I hope so. I seem to know all your friends but not you. God Bless!
I love your production and piano playing. Really great stuff. I've been enjoying the "making of AP's record" Blog and watching you guys work - Inspiring for us indie guys who labor away in our project studio's trying to wrestle some songs into shape.
Hello!
This is a mass comment to all MySpacious friends who live in or near Nashville, letting you know that next Thursday I'm honored to be a part of a concert called Remembering Rich Mullins. I'll be playing with Jill Phillips, Andy Gullahorn, Jeremy Casella, and Ben Shive, and we're each doing a couple of Rich Mullins covers each, along with a few of our own songs.
The concert benefits the Martha O'Brien Center and should be a lot of fun for anyone who was as moved by Rich's music as we were.
Here are the stats:
September, 20 2007 at Second Presbyterian Church
