BIGSTRONGBRUTE began playing in 2006, as the solo project of Paul Donoughue. Over time it has evolved into a many-limbed band. We are now a six piece, based in Brisbane, Australia. Our last album, Gardens In The Gutter, was self-released and is now almost out of print (there are four copies left). Due to start recording a new record in November, 2009.
Here is the film clip for the song 'Don't Sweat It, Honey' from the album Gardens In The Gutter. Directed by Rohan Cooper.

Brisbane outfit Toy Balloon will release their debut album Toy Division on
November 8 through Lofly Records, and to celebrate will perform an east coast
launch tour throughout November.
Formed in 2007, Toy Balloon was
originally a fledgling two-piece made up by Nimai Etheridge’s uniquely melodic
wall-of-sound guitar and Greg Cooper’s beautiful sequenced electronic
compositions. The band have since matured into a four piece featuring Chloe
Cooper (Mr Maps) on key boards and Ben Green on drums.
The album was
recorded and mixed at the Lofly Hangar in Brisbane, a DIY performance space that
Toy Balloon has been an integral part of creating. Fostering emerging artists
and left-of-centre music, the Hangar acts as a performance space, recording
studio, and meeting place; and has resulted in a record with a rich, layered
sound reminiscent of New Order, Mogwai, Boards of Canada, and LCD
Soundsystem.

just saw your comment. thank you. it was really wonderful. so many people. i really liked all of the new tunes and the stripped back arrangements. i don't believe i've seen you play two shows with the same instrumentation.
oh. and also, if you are talking with Ollie and happen to mention Ambitious Lovers recordings, that would be appreciated.
oh and man if you feel like a show i am talking to these guys tinygold who run an artist space on gold coast. they are having their big annual event in some warehouse with heaps of local artists showing and they were trying to plan bands for opening night. its not until 1 august I think.
I was going to get the band i'm helping Oh ye Denver Birds maybe, I could possibly say you are also interested?
who knows.
