Thanks for your support!
You can see many lovely pictures from the launch of the record - which was at The Troubadour in Brisbane in January, 2008 - like this one below, in our photos section. Thanks to Victoria for the shots!
vHello Faithful
followers!! Sorry for the
disappearing act. Maggie cracked her head open during a basement show, so we’ve
been out(no pun intended) for awhile. She is almost better so when that happens
we’ll be back in the recording studio. In the meantime, we did manage to
convince our buddies at myspace.com/onryeproductions to let us do the video
game SFX that are on their newest episode.
If you are interested
in having a song or songs of yours featured in future episodes please send mp3s
to onryecontact@gmail.com
just saw your comment. thank you. it was really wonderful. so many people. i really liked all of the new tunes and the stripped back arrangements. i don't believe i've seen you play two shows with the same instrumentation.
oh. and also, if you are talking with Ollie and happen to mention Ambitious Lovers recordings, that would be appreciated.
new myspace is so shit. i have no idea how to get the download feature working either. bah there must be a better way!! new music space site NEEDED asap
hey man we are having this little thing soon if you want to come. in fact i was hoping you might be interested to play at the next one (winter exchange) but anyway yeah should be a good night. talk soon
oh and man if you feel like a show i am talking to these guys tinygold who run an artist space on gold coast. they are having their big annual event in some warehouse with heaps of local artists showing and they were trying to plan bands for opening night. its not until 1 august I think.
I was going to get the band i'm helping Oh ye Denver Birds maybe, I could possibly say you are also interested?
Hey, our friends at onrye are still looking for music to use for their web 'series' and films that they do. If you're interested send them an mp3(s) of songs that you will let them use to onryecontact@gmail.com. This is the trailer for the short they did with Jay Vay Productions and features songs from bands they found here. Enjoy!
any thoughts of spaces to play. step inn? rics? somewhere a little more unusual? i'm not sure how keen the good folks at rics are to have us play there after we assaulted their paying customers last time with our music and dance moves.
we'd be keen to do something late march/early april
