Birds on a Wire formed in the spring of 2008 from the freshly decomposing carcass of the band The Advent and sprang quickly to life with a renewed vision to bring sincere, good-times, down-n-dirty, rock n' roll to the West Michigan music scene; armed only with raw twangy guitars, catchy and sometimes quirky melodies, and love for God and humanity.
Birds on a Wire is an extremely hard working band with an emphasis on song crafting; icluding tight rythms and catchy melodies. Their original blend of modern punk and indie rock with classic rock n' roll riffs is sure to catch the
attention of a broad audience of a variety of ages and tastes. Lyrically their songs speak of an on-going conflict between the spiritual world and the physical world. They bring to light a spiritual defect that we all have inside of us and are unconscious of while confronting the hypocricy that exists in our everyday life in modern American culture. These driven young men have written and recorded their first full length entitled, "Passing Friends," which was released in July of 2009. Since then, they have been hard at work rehearsing, performing, booking shows and promoting, all without the help of a label or A & R. Birds on a Wire is a band with a passion, and the drive to see that passion explode.
