Since its release in August 2007, every track on "brink" has received airplay within Australia, on more than twenty individual radio stations.
The single "Angel songs" - a "sweet, smooth and delicate" (Zan Rowe, JJJ) track featuring multi-layered vocals - has not only received national radioplay but has also been used on national television programme "Hack".
Black Sesame is vocalist/violinist/composer, Melissa Cox. Her jazz training (she has performed internationally as a jazz artist) informs her compositions, but the music she makes as Black Sesame explores a wider musical terrain:
