Ask Someone LP (Stickfigure Recordings and Ursa Minor Musik) Atlanta's Blame Game's second full length marks the next logical step in their evolution as a band. Starting as a jazzy hardcore band eight years ago, Ask Someone finds them carving their own very unique sound between free form atonal improvisation and mammoth hard charging moments of intensity, pushing the boundaries of the idea of song. These recordings show them as one of those rare bands that continues to eschew the typical, calling to mind the likes of Ornette Coleman, Albert Ayler, Captain Beefheart, Don Caballero or Polvo, all the while remaining their very own fusion of these influences. The LP contains 3 new instrumental tracks as well as a recording manipulated by the artist Magicicada, totalling at 30 minutes.
Honey & Salt CD / LP (Stickfigure Recordings and ABC Group Documentation) 9 tracks of really loose tightness. Mathy and free. Bastard son of Don Caballero, Captain Beefheart and Ornette Coleman. (LP has 7 tracks)
Anthology Vol. I CD (Stickfigure Recordings) Everything (seriously everything) from Blame Game's first 5 years. 27 tracks totalling 77mins of music. Featured on this cd are six new songs which were recorded in November of 2003; the eight songs which are present on the split lp with zann; the nine tracks which were recorded in December of 2001 - four of which were released as the blame game 7”; and there are four additional tracks that were recorded late 1999 for a demo.
Zann Split 12" (Adagio 830 and Crab Apocalypse) A split with the amazing Zann from Germany. 8 tracks from Blame Game + 4 tracks from Zann = good times. 125 copies on Pink Vinyl, 936 on Black Vinyl
