The American Music Award winning band, the Bomb Squad, has been making waves as they cruise across the country with the most sought after musicians on the scene today. Individually, each member of the group is a master of their instrument. Together, the members show maturity well beyond their years, and offer a fresh sound that is equally tasteful. The band continues to make considerable advancements in the music scene. The Squad recently shared the stage with John Mayer, Colbie Caillat, Dave Barnes, and Martin Sexton for a four-day cruise titled The Mayercraft Carrier in early February 2008.
About The Bomb Squad:
The Bomb Squad enjoyed their first taste of commercial success after Dick Clark hand-selected them for the 31st Annual American Music Awards. Thanks to the music-industry legend, the Bomb Squad received worldwide exposure as television viewers enjoyed the Squad’s hit song, Ready to Ride, as they performed alongside rock icons such as Outkast, Metallica, and Britney Spears.
The release of the group’s second album, Bomb Squad II, shortly followed the acclaim at the American Music Awards. Legendary pop producer Jimmy Bralower produced the album. Later, in 2005, the Squad released the Rip it Up DVD, which features 90 minutes of live performance at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston. A short documentary is also included that follows the band through its heightening success, from playing in crowded bars and at the American Music Awards to performing for a 25,000-plus audience at the 2005 Montreal Jazz Festival.
The Bomb Squad hit the road in 2007, performing at notable festivals like the Ottawa Blues Fest and The Gathering of the Vibes. Along the way they introduced their sound throughout Nashville, Chicago, New York, Boston, New Orleans, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Richmond, and Raleigh. The Squad’s 2008 tour officially began when the Squad joined John Mayer on his self-proclaimed rock cruise, produced by VH1 and Sixthman, and journeyed the Bahamas. Currently, the Bomb Squad is writing and recording music for their next studio release, expected in 2009.
