Bio
Are you a new wave scientist?.. Do you make love to robots?.. Then you want music that robots make love to... You want Booga Sugar..... It was the dawn of the new millenium.......THC and Sweet P (formerly of Geffen Recording artists 'The Rake's Progress') were working on some new phat beats that would soon be the core of the “Booga Sugar” sound. THC, Cool Rock G, and Booga B (formerly known as Agamemnon from his goth/stripper days) were renting barstools at the old 10st lounge in the L.E.S. Although friends for many months...it wasn’t until T mentioned the afformentioned phat beats that the two knew a similar interest would solidify the structure of what we now know as “Booga Sugar”!.. Parties ensued and much wine was spilled in the ole’ 272 east 10th where the loyal following would multiply. Contracts were signed! Contracts were broken! Lives were changed! Hearts were stolen! “It’s never easy”! they say “In Rock and Roll”!.. May 2005 saw the “Booga Sugar” debut full length release entitled “Dance Floor Whore” on Grocery Boy records. Sold out show’s would ensue in such legendary N.Y.C venue’s as Bowery Ballroom, Don Hill’s, and Mercury Lounge. The band would move on to entertain the priveleged movers and shakers of the summering Hampton scene at the Stephen Talkhouse, becoming the areas most sought after premier party rockers,.......all the while knowing their eyes were still focused on the bigger picture.......absolute world domination!!.... Booga Sugar's high energy performance and stylish pop hooks have finally been captured and bottled by the best technology available. Use of Booga Sugar may be addicting but will surely alleviate the guilty desire to do the electric slide or pump your fist in the air with your mini bic lighter. Their debut CD "Dance Floor Whore" was released on April 26, 2005 on Groceryboy Records..... "You can’t help but have fun when you spend an evening with Booga Sugar. They’re one of the hottest and most rapidly growing and requested acts on the northeast club circuit today. Enjoy an evening of sheer entertainment with the band that creates mash-ups of high energy rock n' roll with dance beats and disco! Youth driven and with an energy that could power a small city, Booga Sugar takes immediate control of the senses, making even the smallest club or party feel like front row at Madison Square Garden while you satisfy your guilty pleasures. This multi talented band has an extensive song list and is capable of playing any style of music for any club, party or corporate event. Building a loyal and steady following of solid core fans for over seven years, Booga Sugar always delivers.".... “New York City’s premier dance party rockers…” .. John Donahue, The New Yorker.... "He sketched out the night ahead: a friend's engagement party until around 10PM, a party at a house run by a group of girls until midnight, a gig by the band Booga Sugar at the nightclub Stephen Talkhouse until 3AM or so, and an after party until near sunrise..."..
