About Boulder Brass

Since its founding in 1993, the Boulder Brass has earned a national reputation for innovation, style, and musical artistry. This chamber ensemble of twelve musicians brings a new dimension to the traditional brass ensemble with their cutting-edge, original arrangements and the addition of a wide array of percussion instruments. With this prototypical instrumentation and unique crossover programming, they perform in a wide variety of musical styles in an appealing and engaging format. The Boulder brass has performed in Utah, California, Oregon, Idaho, Nebraska, Wyoming, Wisconsin, and, of course, all over the state of Colorado. They have performed the opening program of the International Trombone Conference and for the International Trumpet Festival as well as twice being featured at the Rafael Mendez Brass Institute.
