25-year-old singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, Brendan Losch, manipulates your typical range of instruments like the guitar and the keyboard but supplements his melodies with more lively instruments like the glockenspiel, lap steel, banjo, melodica, and musical saw. Born into a musical family in suburban Chicago, Brendan picked up his first instrument, the clarinet, in the 5th grade. He picked up the guitar in the 6th grade, and has been creating music ever since.
Inspired by life experiences and the surrounding environment, Brendan composes a heartfelt sound imbued with intimate chords, melodic vocals and simple yet contemplative lyrics. His infectious harmonies will remind you of the loved blanket you slip around your shoulders on a chilly fall night.
In January 2005 he teamed up with friend Frankie Holthouse (Plug-In Studio) to record Better the Second Time, his first solo EP. In the fall of 2006, Brendan himself recorded and mixed his debut full-length record Listen With Your Heart [mastered by Mike Nau of Page France/Cotton Jones].
Playing at well-known venues in Chicago such as Schubas, Beat Kitchen, Bottom Lounge, and Subterranean has enabled Brendan to establish himself as a respected musician. He has shared the stage with popular acts such as Nicole Atkins & the Sea, The Dodos, Greg Laswell, Jenny Owen Youngs, Bowerbirds, Phosphorescent, Brooke Waggoner, Joshua James, Cotton Jones, Golden Shoulders, Charlotte Sometimes, Rue Royale, Horse In The Sea, etc. His websites (myspace, purevolume, virb) provide a nice place to sit back, relax, and listen to his latest work of art.
Currently Brendan is writing/recording as much as possible. He has made a goal for 2008 to post 1 brand new song a week over on his music blog, Count Me Out. As for shows, Brendan is mostly playing in the Midwest, but one day will hit the road and tour. You can find his first record Listen With Your Heart (2007) on iTunes. A new record, Until We Meet Again (2008), a collection of some lo-fi demos, is now also available.

Things have been overly slow as of late, but a new record, tentatively titled Low, which will include nine tracks, is slowly being pieced together.

"...'the days go by / you live your life / until you die / would that be alright?'
This song, with its echoey, down the well sound and sad, lovesick lyrics was one I constantly went back to listen to again and again."
- Speed Of Dark (music blog, referring to "Would That Be Alright," their number 19 song for 2007)
"Now, I had always pegged Brendan as an ordinary folk singer, coffee house troubadour, etc. I was wrong, this song echoed through my office for hours, slowly dancing through my thoughts, and finally landing upon my keyboard."
- What To Wear During An Orange Alert (music blog, referring to "Now Or Never")
"A bit in the vein of Josh Ritter or Damien Jurado he sits on the edge of the new folk movement and uses it all to his advantage."
- The World Forgot (music blog)

Streetbeat is here. Warehouse Republic mix modern street beats and put it together with rock and roll. Juan grew up in the streets of Miami, Guilherme in Porto Alegre in Brazil, Jason in the 'burbs of London and Charlie in the earth of Lincoln and the 'burbs of LDN. There is a warmth from the streets they all feel. They are like a New York gang of friends. Hanging out drinking in the sunshine. Here to bring rock and roll back and mix it with new beats and sounds. Its Warehouse Republic. Taking youth culture back for the rebels.
Hi! I've just uploaded two new songs "no title" and "no chorus". I also made a video for the first one. Please, tell me what you think about them. Have a great day or evening or goodnight. Thanks. Alexis
