Our first record is coming out real soon on Bang Back Records. Anything else we do this year, which is hopefully a lot, will be released on Boy Godzilla.
You can read this in the mean time:
"...Anyway, I have diverged. Or have I? Whenever the title of Doubledutch’s enchanting track “Mermraider” comes to mind, I conjure up some mythical crossing of both a mermaid and viking, arriving to land after voyaging the seas, trapped somewhere in a state of unreality. And I think that rather accurately describes this sonic near-lullaby by Doubeldutch, whose lyrics and delivery resemble a fairy tale: one you’ve never been told but somehow already know. Instruments assist in the crusade, their identities near disguised in the melodic meandering.
The local twosome that is Doubledutch is the combined talents of Dhani Rosa of Eskimo & Sons and too many other semi-related projects to count and Jordan Bagnall who aside from playing in Typhoon, just so happens to lend her violin talents to Eskimo & Sons while stirring up some spacey electro by lending her vocals to Breakfast Mountain. A cast of characters from the Boy Gorilla label complete the line-up when it comes to the live arena, including Typhoon’s Kyle Morton on drums. The project appears to be more centered on recording than playing out, but hopefully those tides are a’ changing (if February’s multi-date concert engagement with French band Rature is anything to go by)."
Remember how good it feels to punch an evil vampire unicorn so hard you knock his fangs down his blood thirsty throat straight into his black sticky heart......knowing the world is safer and more beautiful than ever? That is the feeling you'll get when you hear us play live!
i absolutely love the second song you played on KPSU yesterday. It is amazingly beautiful and i keep listening to it over and over again and ive been doing this all morning with coffee and cigarette breaks and i had "SMORZ" cereal for breakfast because i am actually a child who loves sugar all the time.
