Biography-
The name epitomizes the staggering effect that the indie/progressive music has on most unsuspecting audiences. Almost like the heavy blast from the muzzle of a powerful firearm this ensemble jumps right off the stage and into your brain from the very onset of their live performances. Jazz influenced drum major Tony Montanez, sets the tempo at such a heavy rhythm the rest of the band had better be on their toes just to keep up with the pace. A Fresno native Montanez joined the Guns in 2008 and changed the complexion of the band forever by adding his hard hitting style to an already talented group of musicians. Previously , now guitar player Kaleb Saldate manned the drums for Buffalo Guns. Saldate, a Madera native, now brings his creativity to the guitar, keys/synth and vocals. Lead singer Keith Pistoresi, also joined Buffalo Guns at the same time as Montanez in 2008. Formerly of local Fresno band Eluvien, Keith brings a calming presence to the intense instrumentation and is worth the trip to a live venue just to hear his melodies. Ariel Rivera, an original member, adds just enough eccentric guitar riffs to the performance and provides a soothing touch to their rangy musical performances. The ever-steady bass lines of Joseph Lynch keeps Montanez's ultra progressive drumming style on-time, setting the the tempo for the band as a whole. Lynch, also an original member of Buffalo Guns, puts his signature on every song with his unmistakable sound and style. From a die-hard rock fan to indie freaks, after just one show you will definitely understand the allure of Buffalo Guns.
