No other band from the Carolinas, or the entire Mid-Atlantic region for that matter, dares attempt the intricate fusion of rhythm-section funk, 4-horn firepower, and soaring vocals this band throws down each time they play live.
Featuring the Bull City Horns on their front line, Bull City Syndicate has been building a loyal and ever-growing following for over fifteen years - featured not only at the top area restaurants and clubs, but also statewide at music festivals, colleges, weddings, private and corporate parties, as well as many local and national charity events.
It will be worth your effort to check out why Bull City Syndicate is more than just a cliché wedding band, why they are one of the most in-demand bands in the Mid-Atlantic states, and why the crowds at their public appearances are always filled with musicians from other bands.
Bull City Syndicate is a fantastic band and my guests had a wonderful time. Everyone in the band was extremely nice and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a band. The manager was always in constant contact with me to make sure all our needs were being met.

The Bull City Horns
In the classic 'Horn Band Tradition', of such super groups as Tower of Power, Chicago, Blood Sweat & Tears, and Earth Wind & Fire, The Bull City Horns - Clarke Egerton, Vhondy Strickland, Rodney Ogden and Steve Baker - are the unit that sets Bull City Syndicate apart from the rest, and keeps your event going. The Bull City Horns will amaze and entertain you with their power and presence. A lot of bands have horns, but only Bull City Syndicate has the Bull City Horns!
Clarke Egerton
Trombone, Vocals, Percussion
Clarke "Edge" Egerton serves as Bull City Syndicate's musical
director. As the band's 'man on the mike' he loves to
get the crowd involved in the show. Prior to Bull City Syndicate,
Clarke played with The Living Legend Band for 12 years.
He appears on the LaHoya, and AmeriCord record labels.
Vhondy Strickland
Reeds
Vhondy is proficient on Tenor, Alto and Soprano sax as well
as flute. This versatility as well as his sweet, soulful
solos make him an integral part of Bull City Syndicate. He is a
veteran of bands throughout the United States and brings
to the band a smooth, polished professionalism.
Steve Baker
Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Vocals
Coming to us from the the bayous of Louisiana, Steve has
over 25 years as a
professional in the music business, and has toured and recorded
internationally with various musical acts. In addition to
his obligations to Bull City Syndicate and Café Mars, he
is also in demand as a local freelance trumpeter. Rodney Ogden
Trumpet
In demand as a freelance trumpeter, Rodney Ogden rounds
out the Bull City Horn section. His powerful playing is
the perfect compliment to the ensemble.
The backbone of any powerhouse
band is a great rhythm section. Bull City Syndicate is fortunate
to have a solid core of experience holding down the groove.
Together with 'The Bull City Horns' and the soul-filled
voice of Dan Lantier, they unite to create a musical showcase
that ignites dance floors and will make your event a memorable
experience.
Dan Lantier
Vocals, Percussion
From
south Louisiana, Dan brings an exciting blend of energy
and charisma. Dan fronts the band with an unmatched command
of the stage, an astounding vocal range, and brilliant
percussion skills.
Todd Proctor
Drums
<The newest member of Bull City Syndicate, Todd comes to the band from Richmond, Virginia. There's a reason why Todd is one of the most 'in demand' drummers in the Triangle . . . something absolutely necessary when driving the BCS machine!
Jeff Nelson
Bass Guitar
Coming to us from Wisconsin, Jeff brought us not only a
well-schooled jazz pedigree, but funk galore - providing
the solid, driving foundation that a powerhouse band like
Bull City Syndicate absolutely must have.
Matt Kanon
Guitar, Vocals
Keeping the Funk alive, Matt lays down those thick, chunky
chords and groovin' solos that keep the band and the dance-floor
hopping. Originally from Pittsburgh, and comng to North
Carolina from the D.C./Baltimore area, Matt brings many
diverse influences and superb musicianship to the BCS experience. Charlie D'Agostino
Keyboards
Originally from the heart of New York City, "Charlie
D" has a wealth of musical experience which to draw
upon. His soulful and versatile keyboard work has been an
essential element of 'The Bull City Syndicate Sound' for over ten
years. When Charlie D hits the stage . . . forgetaboudit.
Bull City Syndicate was everything I had hoped for and more. The crowd was energized and danced the entire night. The musicianship and vocals were truly world class. It was a night none of us will forget and I have Bull City Syndicate to thank for making it
so memorable.
