Calerway is a rock band hailing from Perth, Western Australia.
The band consists of
Ryan de Rozario (synth/samples),
Cameron Edwards (bass/vox),
Phillip O’Reilly (lead guitar),
Jaun-Paul Rebola (vox/rhythm guitar),
James Cheda Watroba (drums).
"I think there are two types of bands,” explains Calerway frontman Jaun Paul Rebola. “There are the bands that follow what has been done, do it very well and achieve success for the duration of a fad; and there are bands who create their own thing. Our intention has always been the latter."
That philosophy alone explains the story of Calerway. The ‘who did what’, ‘who joined when’ details are no different than any other band’s, but their philosophy – their deliberate agenda of putting creativity before miniscule accruals – is as rare as it is precious."
