Give me a book or a keyboard with some peace and quiet and I'm in heaven! A little Euchre or Spades with family, friends, and popcorn sounds great, too. I enjoy knitting and I make prayer shawls. It's just about the only way to get me to sit still through an entire movie at home. Yeah. Really. Just ask my kids.
I love to travel and would love to go back to Hawaii. I look forward to head spinning book tours. LOL. One day, I'll take my daughter with me to New York and we'll take in some Broadway! My faves are PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and THE LION KING!

Just about any fiction. When I was a kid it didn't matter, as long as I could read.
I still remember the excitement I felt when the bookmobile would visit my school, Robin Hill, in Creve Coeur, Missouri. (Did I spell that right?) And the smell of a library. Mmmmm.... I'd check out as many books as I could carry. Yep...I'm a book nerd for sure. My faves were Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, and Zane Grey.
Now, I read mostly young adult and middle grade books. I like to read so I can make my writing better, but also so I can recommend books to my students. (HI, Y'ALL!) One day, you'll be reading MY books! Sweet!!!

My merry-go-round of life consists of a terrific husband, two great teens, a nearly blind miniature schnauzer who just had ten teeth removed, (yeah, TEN!), two geriatric cats, a wacky kitten, a quadriplegic bearded dragon (advanced MBD), and several assorted fish.
