Welcome to the official and brand new Cernunnos Rising myspace music page! Please feel free to listen to some of our early live recordings (very RAW indeed! haha!) at the roundhouse.
I would like to acknowledge the multiple skills and talents of some amazing folk I have had the good fortune of running into on my journey. Mr Nick Reynolds and Mr Simon Lomax and Mr Andrew Hunter. Lets see where the path leads, eh chaps?
AND A MASSIVE THANKS TO ALL OF OUR WONDERFUL SUPPORTERS! I can't thank you both enough! Hahaa!

This music...these lyrics... born from the inspiration and feelings of connection to nature is the work of George Nicholas, an artist, muralist, sculpturist, poet, singer, and philanthropist.
George had made the decision at Yule Festival on the Isle of Mona (Anglesey)2008 to embark on a musical journey and transform his many poems and lyrics into songs and music celebrating the land, the seasons and the soul.
There are four songs in particular that represent the seasonal quadrants of the year. Some enjoy the expression and exuberance within the spring-time waking songs of re-emergence, so alive and vibrant after winters stillness and quiet.
Others relate to and favour the songs of the later fruitful and abundant time of harvesting reflected in "The Heartbeat of Harvest".
Autumn brings us the song of remembrance and is dedicated "To Those Who Brought Us Here" and acknowledges those who quietly guide us. This is a special time of contemplation and reflection.
And so we journey through the dark, still, period of winter realising our web of connection to all.
The slowly turning wheel of the year brings us once again to the new virgin year "A Time of Great Potential" and promise, insight and inspiration. The song tells of the gathering life force and the new un-opened bud.
"We all need time out, time to connect, time aside from our culture that is always looking for its next adversary... Time aside from a society that has become rapacious in its consumerism, stretched and twisted with greed, hunger and paranoia!
Acknowledge the principal of balance without and within, above and below, mentally, physically and spiritually.
Contemplate on the acceptance of the mud and bones of basic matter and the impermanence of the physical plane.
The mud and bones are simply the soul's footprints in the sand, soon to be washed away.
"The Coming and Going"
A disturbing news item graphically displaying a stunned mother carrying her dead child though a devastated war zone... their home only hours before; prompted the writing of the song "The Coming and Going". Dealing with the folly of violence and hate, and begs the question, why her tears should have to reflect death in the image of her infant."
Have a great week and tell me, do you like 'The Wicker man'? I love it, such a perfect film and as Damh The Bard says "Its really a musical". Bless ;) Now must dash and see if I can find that Willow. I can hear her tapping on the wall 'Hey Ho'
Thank you so much for the friend request! I love your songs! My favourite is " Green Man ( last tree standing ) " I love the energy of music, it's my life. Keep up the good work, and share your music with the world.
Hi Guys Listen to the whisper on the wind it speaks of times gone and times yet to come. Thank you for being my friend and for being you, the you that this world needs at this time.
If you have walked in the heart of the Green wood and have bathed in the light of its living force remember what you have felt; and whenever you pass a tree whether it stands alone in a wilderness of human making or in the depth of woodland, give a moment of your time to listen to its voice. For in many parts of the land the trees are dying only the hearts that know something of the true wisdom can save them. (Anon)
Hello Cernunos Rising, nice to meet you and your music.
