INDEPENDENT MUSIC FOR INDEPENDENT MINDSOver the weekend of 4th July we will be dancing to the tune of the world’s independent music scene as it unites for Independents Day 08.
This is the first ever global celebration of independent music, a sector first home to artists including The Beatles, Elvis and Coldplay and still home to the likes of Radiohead, Vampire Weekend, Arctic Monkeys and Bjork.

NIGHTWARES ON WAX is back!
Warp are very happy to announce the return of one of their most recognised artists and biggest seller.
The mastermind behind chill-out classic Smoker's Delight and its follow-up Carboot Soul, George E.A.S.E. Evelyn is back this summer with a NEW NIGHTMARES ON WAX ALBUM.
'Thought so...' will be released on August 25th.
ALBUM INFO
'Though so....' was inspired by a special journey from E.A.S.E.’s birthplace, Leeds to his new family home located right in the middle of Ibiza. Instead of shipping his studio equipment to the Balears, he decided that he would take it with him on a roadtrip, and write some new material along the way.
N.O.W's sound engineer, live band members and guests - including Ricky Ranking, Chyna Brown and Ella May - joined him in a convoy of camper vans. Beats and post-production were then added at his new home studio in Ibiza, and the resulting album is a smooth, chilled, summer-friendly collection of eleven stripped down, laid back jams !

The Mighty Boosh will be appearing at The Big Chill festival in 2008.
Other initial artists confirmed include The Thievery Corporation - Washington DC's boundary-blurring production masters and their huge live band.
Random Dance will provide cutting-edge contemporary dance soundtracked by sonic experimentalists - and in Portico Quartet The Big Chill have secured the brightest rising stars on the jazz scene.
This announcement follows the confirmation of The ICA, Roundhouse, BFI and Underbelly as content partners for the Festival.
Big Chill Founder Katrina Larkin commented that: "Roll on the summer, we are so happy with the first confirmations as they reflect the quality and diversity of The Big Chill festival. Plus we are over the moon that The Mighty Boosh are joining in with the fun this year. We are so excited at HQ that we are counting the days down already! So much more news to come too."
