   About Cheap Antiques


We are 2 boys and 1 girl from the North-East of England who formed in February 2006. We play; 1 electric guitar, 1 acoustic guitar, 1 bass, 1 drum kit, 4 cymbals, 1 hi-hat, 1 rc-20 loop pedal, 1 cowbell and a selection of pots and pans. Throw in 2 voices and a spoon full of sugar to help the music go down.

that was probably Pop's fault with his hyper distortion. Getting a decent sound outdoors is tricky though i think. Yeah i got a bit of money thrown at me but not enough to sustain the day's drinking

Hello,

Have you seen what's on next Wednesday?

Activities begin at 1pm at The Place, in Athenaeum St, Sunniside,
with Maximo Park’s Duncan Lloyd's 'Songwriting Masterclass'.

Jim Mawdsley, CEO of Generator and Director of The Evolution Festival
leads a 'Live Music Promoter Workshop' from 3pm.

Then, from 6pm, an A&R panel session will take place featuring reps from
1965 Records, EMI, Universal and XL Records.

The SMF AGM will directly precede the A&R session.

If your music requires attention, bring along a CD to receive
individual feedback on a first come-first served basis!!!!

Following the day’s events at The Place, The White Room in Holmeside will host
the evening’s live show, featuring
Frankie & The Heartstrings, U-U, The Wooden Spoons and Widows.
Doors open at 8pm.

Admission for all events is free but limited and subject to advance booking.

It's our SMF monthly meeting next Wednesday 14th Jan at the City Library on Fawcett St at 6pm.
Please try and make it along and share your thoughts, ideas or queries about
Music in Sunderland.

After the meeting, there is a free showcase gig at The White Room featuring
Absorb, Your New Escape Plan, Saint and The Cynics, plus Dead Miles.
It's free entry and starts at 7pm.
