About me: SPIRITHOUSE’S Choosing Sides Program grew out of both our successful experience working with community youth and parents, as well as this mounting crisis of violence among young people of color. It is a comprehensive approach to teen violence that begins not just with the “problem” but also grapples with particular ‘intersectional’ (age, race, education, and socioeconomic status) challenges that young people of color face. Students are presented with challenges allowing them to analyze teen roles, responsibilities and the shared fate of their community.
Thank You to NEW HORIZON'S and Coach D, The Rites of Passage program of Durham and The Durham Civil Rights Project for trusting us to work this revolution the best way we know how (in community with you).

What do you think of these newly discovered crime scene photos (viewed at Abu-Jamal-News.com)?
I have been personally contacting every media outlet I could find and still the mainstream media has completely ignored the story. Many independent media outlets have covered it, but the only independent outlet that has actually published one of the photos is the national Black newspaper, The SF Bay View (click here).
This is just the latest episode in a long history of corporate media bias (and arguably racism) towards Mumia and other political prisoners.
Wont you help spread the word and join us this saturday so we can pack the house and get asked back to this nice venue next to brigham circle across the street from JP licks
Hope U can make it

“What would happen in one woman told the truth about her life?
The world would split open.”
- From: "Kathe Kollwitz" by Muriel Rukeseyer
Thank you for the add request and for sharing the truth about what happen to Sean Bell. The oppressive weight of this society must be lifted from all people and the truth must be told. This is an evening in which my own rights were violated. I was busking in the subway after a Celtics game and before the crowd of people came I was forced to "shut it down" by the transit police. I hope you don't mind if i post the poetry that has gotten me kicked out of now two train stations, this time with the proper permits and breaking no laws other than speaking the truth.

Current mood: awake
Category: Writing and Poetry
Liven in the land of own your own hunger
Listen to the man who roam the loan wonder
Pacifist learn to pass on fisticuffs
Forget the bluffs clear your eyes you've been lied to
By a nation that ill buy and deprive you
Of you so called rights well here come the lights
Ask yourself this question the lesson part one
People shouldn't doubt my son
How can a man turn fifteen million into nine billion dollars?
Well! Here's some facts you won't hear on the radio
911's no joke so let me say it slow
"The controlled demolition of the world trade center complex was impart a cover up for the ENRON scandal"
Aw dam uncle sam you can't handle
spark'n a flame for the fame of twelve candles
Pacifist learn to pass on fisticuffs
Forget the bluffs clear your eyes you've been lied to
By a nation that ill buy and deny you
Of your freedom of choice
to chose to love one another
where all here cuz were from the same mother
Pump'n bar bells until my arm's swell
To shake with a firm grip let the perm rip
Cuz the day I flip that's.. total destruction
Bombs at the junction of cultural survival spirit revival
Now is the time take a look in your Bible
Or holy Koran the moment is on
Don't ever call me an average man I'm an African
Roots more blacker than their whole faction
Diggin for truth cuz its time to take action.
Pacifist learn to pass on fisticuffs
Forget the bluffs clear your eyes you've been blinded
By a tyrant who's criminal minded
Indigenous home land mulatto my motto … cuff the system
