Family Farm (LIVE)
NYAKA AIDS ORPHAN SCHOOL IN UGANDA
This video was created by Chris Singer from Lansing, MI. He recently visited this school in Uganda. The photos in the video are from his trip. They are taken of children who have been ophaned by the AIDS Epidemic in Africa. These are a few of millions. The song in this video is called "Live True". It is track 5 on my new album To Begin Again. I am honored to share this song with Chris, who dedicates his life to this badly needed work. Learn more about Nyaka by visiting http://www.nyakaschool.org..
As you read this there are song seeds traveling around Lansing, MI.
A song seed is a song that has yet to germinate. It has only been heard by it's writer. (in this case, me) The first of these seeds was written just days ago. For the song to be born and to grow, the songs seeds must be carried to Magdalena's Tea House on April 11th at 8pm, unopened. During the show, I will ask anyone if they have a song seed. If so, folks will be asked to open the seeds, read the lyrics and the song will be played for the first time. And forever more, the song can only be played live if there is someone present who has heard the song at least once.
It is you who breathe life into songs. By listening, you nurture and grow what would be dormant without you.
TO BEGIN AGAIN
If you so desire...
1.To Begin Again, why not? Just try it, it's fun. Believe me 2.I Just Know, I can tell, I learned it growing up on a 3.Family Farm. I still dream of it now and I sure hope that 4.All Roads Lead Home, cause the only way I can 5.Live True, and be 6.Who I Am is to get there and hear you say, "if you fall 7.I'll Carry You", and "if you fall I'm 8.Always Lovin You", and when we're together 9.We Are Beauty and it feels like our 10.Wedding Day dreamt up by a 11.A Mother's Mind aching to 12.Slow Down
