Clapan aka Dennis Korsunski is a man machine who creates 100% dance grooves right in front of the dance floor. This is one of the few Russian electronic musicians who has his own style and his own sound in the industry.
In his live performances, Clapan improvises with the knowledge and the moods that he has acquired over his life. Of course, during the show Dennis uses his own secret techniques; he is comfortable playing even without knowing what direction the track will take in several minutes.
More precisely, his live show is a huge amount of variations on modern minimal techno with elements of deep techno, electro acid house, dub and IDM. After listening to his tracks, it is clear that Clapan takes the best components from numerous music styles. At the same time, all sonic solutions are original, simple and intelligent at the same time. Clapan created various technologies to combine electronic and organic sounds. Before the advent of Ableton, Dennis used his own PC-based virtual instruments creating music in real time.
Being the founder of the Spektral Audio School, Clapan shares his knowledge in music production and custom synth programming with lots of young musicians, several of whom achieved success in Russia and abroad.
Over last three years Dennis did a great job learning new methods in approaching dance music production. Clapan does not just stay within fads in music, his artistic experience is found on his personal attitude and creative outlook. His music is his own viewpoint free of any stereotypes.
Dennis gave lots of vivid live shows in Moscow, St Petersburg, Rostov-on-the-Don, Krasnodar and the Black Sea coast including such big event as Kazantip 2008. Last year Clapan together with the popular Moscow DJ Compass Vrubel released a track called Breath, which was included in the compilation MIGZ by Algorythmik Records along with such names as Trentemoller, Mujuice, SCSI-9, M.A.N.D.Y., and Burger/Voigt.
His project Information Ghetto released a self-titled EP with the German label BROQUE. The release was highly acclaimed by numerous Russian and European DJs.

The 13th international festival for computer based art CYNETART is going to provide a collective atmospheric picture for the reflection on digital culture from 26 November until 06 December 2009 at the festival theatre Hellerau. This will be done by a variety of event formats, such as Automatic Clubbing, a presentation of the output of the European Tele-Plateaus project and the first VIPA-Congress.
Video- and performance-installations as well as a meditative computer game will be shown within Automatic Clubbing from 26 until 28 November. This will be embedded in electronic music by Monolake, eLBee BAD & friends, Jacob Korn or Paul St. Hilaire with Scion.
