Clare's new album "Live at Ebenezer Chapel" is out now. This exclusive live album with accompanying DVD features the tracks 'Tea For Two', 'Brave Face', 'Teach Me Tonight', 'Blues in the Night' & 'Heber, The Receiver'.
Clare has recently collaborated with Helmut Lotti on his new album 'Time To Swing'. Singing the duet L.O.V.E, with the Belgian popular singer, Clare can be seen below in a short excerpt from Helmut's DVD.
Clare joined Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on ITV 1's This Morning on Thursday 14th August. Clare chatted and then performed Get Happy!
"Eamonn is a great man,". Clare said, "I really enjoyed chatting to him and Ruth on the telly. Mr Holmes loves all kinds of music. He has suggested I incorporate a little Johnny Cash into the act - I'm seriously considering this request but am unsure as to where I'd find one." See the clip here
Clare has that special talent of being able to blend being a unique singer with an excellent ability to chat to an audience using sharp wit. Clare could be described as a cross between Ella Fitzgerald and Victoria Wood.
Clare is also a radio presenter with a regular show namely Big Band Special on radio 2. She is an established song writer and has been compared to Cole Porter. Over the last few years Clare has performed in Jazz Clubs, Festivals, with the BBC Big Band, on television with Parkinson, on RTE's The LateLate Show, ITV's This Morning and The Alan Titchmarsh Show and on BBC 2's Culture Show. Clare has also been voted Jazz singer of the year twice.
In January Clare presented a series on Radio 2 profiling 1930s singer Al Bowlly and in May she played tribute to a collection of the world's greatest female jazz performers called Jazz Divas. If further evidence of her multi-faceted talents were needed, Clare also has a weekly lifestyle column in the Yorkshire Post.
Newly signed to the Universal imprint W14 Music, this year has been one of the busiest yet with an on-going successful tour of the country. Clare embraced a return to her first love – jazz - with the release in February 2008 of a brand new album "Get Happy"

Enjoyed your programme on Friday and also your morning guest appearance! my uncle had everything Al Bowly did which sadly at the time we could not find a home for so we gave all the mint condition records to Oxfam! I am pretty sure that he played with him too. The only thing I have left is his collection of Jaz Magazines but they need some TLC now as they have been kept in a outbuilding. Good Luck with your Radio work Clare. June xxxxx
Hey Clare Check out my VERY OLD songs which I have just uploaded onto my myspace - from OVER TWENTY YEARS ago!!!! How about that! Just having a bit of an artist's block so thought I'd put something different on in the meantime and worked out how to convert cassettes to mp3 which was no mean feat. Love Penny
