classwar karaoke is a netlabel, originated and operated by myself, Anthony Donovan, from March 2008 until August 2009, and now operated by myself and Adrian Beentjes.
As a project, classwar karaoke is based around a series of ongoing, quarterly surveys, the first of which, dubbed '0001 survey', was released in May 2008. Each survey is different - in terms of personnel, number of personnel, and in terms of theme. Participation is fairly open - so long as those interested in being involved work intelligently within the broad context of experimental music and do not seek to use the project as just another on-line shop-window for their material. So far, the inclusive nature of classwar karaoke has worked wonderfully-well in terms of quality of material. See and hear for yourself by checking out our internet archive pages. Indeed, the label itself was envisaged, from the very start, as an experiment in the positive power which inclusivity can have upon artworking if included in meaningful ways. That said, we reserve the right to maintain the quality of both the art which is offered and the community from which it comes. Our ambitions for the label do not stop at periodic on-line releases. In the short time it has been running, we have already had one classwar karoke live showcase; which featured as 0005 survey. More gigs are planned. Similarly, physical releases - of CRDs and DVDs - are planned. If you like what you hear and see, please leave a comment; and if you'd like to be included in a future survey, get in touch, and we can discuss that possibility.
Best wishes,
Anthony & Adrian

How are you, classwar karaoke? Haven't checked in on you lately, so I swung by to wish you a happy halloween & hope you are feeling well! thank you ever so much for making this connection.
Singapore has not been treating me well at all as you can read in my blogs here at MySpace. I have had a great deal of ostracism, rejection, discrimination from lesser minded musicians, artists and people in general, and I not only work on the streets literally to make a living, but I am currently without a permanent home address, practising on a cheap student guitar, and living on the grace of God.
I hope you will find the time to listen to the samples from the album I created and distributing online via CD Baby (the link to CD Baby is on my main page), I believe with determination, courage and faith I can succeed where only failure has greeted me all my life, but also with help from friends like yourself who are willing and believe in the power of spreading
a good word. Perhaps you could write a few good words I can use at CD Baby. Perhaps you would tell others about my music and someone might buy a CD.
I believe in this music, even as I am daily seeking ways to improve on it.
Many blessings to you, in every area of your life, may your heart be light, your mind pure and clear, and may your dreams all be fulfilled,
Catrina
