    Claws was formed in 2008 as a solo project of Lasse (Hooded Menace, Phlegethon, Vacant Coffin, Swarming etc.) to play putrid and creepy death metal in the vein of Crematory (Swe), Abhorrence, Nihilist/Entombed, old Death, Autopsy, Incantation, Funebre etc. The discography includes the 7" EP "The Funeral Barge" (Doomentia Records) 2009 and the full-length "Absorbed in the Nethervoid" (LP Doomentia Records, CD Razorback Recordings) 2009.

The founder and leader of the band - Tomek Dobrzeniecki, who was  supported by another Hazael co-founder - Wojtek Stasiak, is responsible for its graphic design. The twelve page booklet includes full lyrics, unique photographs and interviews with Hazael from that period. It also contains a multimedia bonus of a 1992 concert (the only recorded performance in four-member line-up with Wojtek Stasiak on the bass guitar)!!!
