This band was born from different small towns around Valencia. However, the characters they represent assure that they come from Midian, the city of the Night Breed. The band formed in the summer of 2000 as a result of the Mediterranean heat and the repugnant hate they feel to the musical ignorance existing especially in Spain.
During the first years the musical trends of the band took out about metal which was popular at the time. The band continued its evolution until they finally recorded their first album after they won a rock contest in a small town in Valencia (Esplai-Tevernes Contest, La Valldigna).
The first features that began to differentiate them among the other bands were their influences on horror movies and “freak subculture”.
The launch of its first work, called “Here comes a New Challenger” changed the course of this band because of the influence on electronic and retro sounds, which was mixed in their songs.
Their peculiar songs about horror films, gore films and subculture films help them to participate in the sound tracks of a Movie Producer called Eskoria Films (Kombate Brutal, Impacto Nupcial, BridgeBlood, and other movies). This Movie Producer is managed by a very good friend of the band; therefore they even collaborate as main characters in most of his productions.
After several changes in the band and one more first place in another rock contest (Morvedre Rock-Sagunto) Code Name got ahead with their new album “Bizarre Action Figures”. The album was recorded where the last album, in RPM Studios managed by Roger Garc..a and then mastered in Finnvox Studios by Mika Jussila, Finland.
The two male voices of Kemao and Crazy and the third female vocalist Betty, responsible for the keyboards as well; the samplers and electric sounds of Krow; the drum rhythms of Henry W; the bass of MO-Zombie6 and the Guitar of Fuck-un. All this mixed with their amusing and full of sense of humour performances make this Monsters gang a perfect musical and visual combination to have a great time.

Esta banda surge de varios pueblos de alrededor de Valencia aunque los personajes que representan aseguran venir de Midian, la ciudad de las razas de noche. Nacieron en el verano del 99 fruto del calor levantino y el odio repulsivo hacia el garrulismo. En esos primeros comienzos, las tendencias musicales del grupo rondaban por el metal de moda de aquella poca.
La banda se consolida por Valencia hasta grabar su primer trabajo fruto del triunfo en un concurso de rock (Esplai-Tavernes de La Valldigna). Lo que empezaba a diferenciarlos eran esas caracterizaciones influenciadas por pelis de terror y la subcultura freak en general.
La salida del Here Comes a New Challenger!!, su primer trabajo, significa un cambio radical para el grupo ya que las influencias de los sonidos electrnicos y retro comienzan a mezclarse mucho en las canciones.
Sus peculiares temas sobre pelis de terror, gore y serie b les han hecho participar en bandas sonoras (Kombate Brutal, Impacto Nupcial, BridgeBlood,) de Eskoria Films con la que existe un hermanamiento plasmado en protagonismo de los componentes en cortos y films de este estilo.
Tras varios cambios en la banda y otro primer premio en otro concurso de rock (Morvedre Rock-Sagunto), Code Name dan otro gran paso grabando su nuevo trabajo Bizarre Action Figures en los mismos estudios donde lo hicieron con el anterior. Se graba y mezcla en RPM con Roger Garca, se masteriza en los estudios Finnvox de Finlandia por Mika Jussila. Las dos voces de los cantantes Kemao y Crazy; la tercera voz de la teclista Betty; los samplers y sonidos electrnicos de Krow; el ritmo del batera Henry W. y el bajista MO-Zombie6; la guitarra de Fuck-un; la risa y la diversin de sus espectculosTodo esto hace de esta pandilla de mostros un amalgama perfecto para pasar un buen rato musical y visual.
