GeneralApart from writing? Is there anything else...? :)

I serve on the Management Committe of the Speculative Literature Foundation, in an attempt to give something back to the SF community. you can see it at The Speculative Literature Foundation I review for Strange Horizons, as well. Check out Strange Horizonsfor more info. Back in the real world, walking the dogs, watching Liverpool FC, travel and reading are how I relax.

MusicSnow Patrol, U-2, New Order, Neil Young, Green Day, The Killers.
MoviesOnce Upon A Time In The West; Dark Star; Forbidden Planet; Minority Report; Over the Hedge (the squirrel is EXACTLY like our Cocker Spaniel); Bell, Book & Candle; North by North-west;
TelevisionDr. Who, House, The West Wing, ER (before it went off the boil), Inspector Morse. I had great hopes for Torchwood.
BooksHyperion, Cloud Atlas, The Demolished Man, the Nero Wolfe books, anything by Josephine Tey.

Silence of the Grave, the CWA Best Novel of 2005 by Arnaldur Indridason; I've been to Iceland once or twice a year for the last thirteen years, and it's fascinating reading a crime novel set in places I've visited.

HeroesHeroes is too kiddy a term. People that I'd most like to meet? Rafa Benitez, Joss Whedon, Chris Ecclestone and Lis Sladen. And Rex Stout, Josephine Tey and John Thaw, but sadly, it's too late for them.

LOL. Ty for the Happy Birthday comment Colin. A little late for me to reply but none the less...thank you. Turning 40 was not so bad. I love being older. It doesn't bother me a bit and I have a lot of wisdom and good hindsight that has come from those years. Hugs and more hugs...and congrats on the good reviews Colin!!

And thanks for the add, Colin. :o) An American press called Swimming Kangaroo? Wow. One would expect it to be from Down Under. Amazing how publishing has become so international.

'I have accurately recorded the events near the time of my brother's death and what followed; they combine to reveal an intriguing story. Did he die naturally or was he helped in some way? Has a crime or two taken place? Some may think so. Maybe there is a conspiracy, if so how far it may extend is unclear. I am certain that nothing is quite as it should be. Nevertheless this account shows a fascinating view of human nature, society and the establishment in the United Kingdom. The story is so bizarre
that it could well be fiction, and that is why I have added "A story of truth or fantasy" to the title. What is frightening is that it is all absolutely true.

Visit our blogs to read more. Unfortunately, from the responses received, our experiences are not unique.

Thank you and best wishes
