so what does Combine the Victorious mean? Who's the victorious, who's being combined, or what? don't know, it just came out that way. it might be a rational plea to learn from the past, hold onto the good ideas and come out ahead. It might mean we should leave a few more of the old patterns behind, the ones that keep us from truly progressing. or it might not. just a few strange words to combine. of course this page is not dedicated to semantics, but rather a little indie band from Vancouver.
Combine the Victorious is Mark Henning (musician/record producer) and Isabelle Dunlop (fashion designer turned singer). Rapidly transforming from their indie rock routes, they have now stripped down to an electronic duo. With a spring 2010 set release date, CtV are now writing their third album. they shall be debuting new songs on this page over the next few months. please have a listen.

Disagreements is currently available as a digital release only. More introspective than The World Over, the songs deal with issues of betrayal and disappointment but ultimately a bit of hope. The song "Please" which features guest vocalists Ingrid Schroeder and Barry Flynn, was selected by SPIN magazine as one of its new music recommendations for 2009. Also guest appearing is former Pure guitarist Todd Simko, his lovely guitar work quite notable on the song "Back In Style" and "decay". Also guest appearing is Kevin Jones playing Drums on Please and Back In Style. Disagreements is also our first release under the Boutique Empire label.

"All of the Love" shall be appearing on an upcoming Some Bizarre compilation later 2009. Three other songs are to be part of cross continental compilation on AZYL record of Slovakia.
