About me:

"HILARIOUS AND DISTURBING...ENTERTAINS WHILE RAISING DEEP QUESTIONS...!"
(Peter Singer - World-Renowned Philosopher, Princeton University)

The Marriage Officiator (also featured on my old poster) My New Poster The Czech National Symbol all erect...

'COMING SOON' is an award-winning cult film born in the depths of the European underground and brought to life by American Director (and Jan Svankmajer alumnus), Sir Tijn Po. One of the most controversial films of all time, 'COMING SOON' has been stirring debate both on the right and the left - in academic circles, pubs, churches, bordellos, etc. - and has already made history as the film that sparked a Bestiality-Rights revolution.

'COMING SOON' DVD's as well as DVD-Quality Downloads are currently available through Amazon.com - here, here and here (where it's being promoted along with Pasolini's 'SALO'...), or you can watch a low-res version for free - FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY - at WWW.COMINGSOON.CZ.

"AN EXHILARATING AND UNSETTLING FILM ECHOING NIETZSCHE, PASOLINI AND SVANKMAJER!"
(Institut Francais de Prague)

"REDEFINES THE BOUNDARIES OF LOVE, TOLERANCE AND SEXUALITY!"
(Kino Babylon, Berlin)

"A HIGHLY CHILLING TOUR DE FORCE!"
(Czech National Television)

"ONE GOOD FILM! I'LL BE PROMOTING IT!"
(Jan Svankmajer)

BRAND NEW GLOWING REVIEW FROM AWARD-WINNING FILMMAKER, ALFRED EAKER:
"It takes an exceptional film to garner almost unanimous praise...but Sir Tijn Po’s COMING SOON has startlingly done just that...It is a supremely crafted, poetic, humorous, perverted mockumentary that should appeal to even the most mild surrealist...Far more interesting than the David Lynch of today...COMING SOON is undoubtedly a film that will be discussed for a very long time and that’s it’s quirky power. Highly recommended."
(Alfred Eaker, for the new website www.366weirdmovies.com)

cheers for your unique work and its must-know content. first eye wished the movie was a fairytale like the beautfiul wedding scenes. the only disturbant thing in the movie is seeing the murderer nazi scums in action.

    SOooooooooooo...

i FINALLY had time to finish the whole documentary, WHICH I LOVED! I have a feeling that my mom and friends would simply find it sick. I think the problem is, is that it seems hard for people to sympathize with those who are different. Even if they FEEL SORRY for the others (such as the ones who have had terrifying experiences;i.e. the lady who had the bull or the man whose grandparents/parents worked at a butchery;sorry, i couldn't catch the names;wow, this comment is becoming WAY too FUCKING long!), they don't SYMPATHIZE with them. Is it just me, or are there a lot of people who automatically dismiss the opinions of others? WHATever............

Anyways, great job! Have you done any other work?

I really loved the movie Coming Soon! It is the best film I have ever watched! It totally gave me a new outlook on how I live my life.
  • Feb 27 2009 5:45 PM

holy shit... that movie was crazy. i was truly disturbed. there was a lot that made me sad and even cry (the bull footage and the torture stills were really awful and heart wrenching)... but then i'd be chuckling again in no time looking at some guy sitting there talking with his dog or goat by his side.... and knowing...

... the blow up animals were just unbelievable

seriously, kudos, that was crazy. disturbing, sad, philosophical, and hilarious. good job!

i actually beleive animals are our equals and that we can bond with them on mutual levels, and i beleive tolerance and pluralism are key components to humanity's survival of itself, but seriously i absolutely could not and have never been able to deal with even imagining what these people do. i was absolutely laughing at these poor, poor f'in people. it was awful!

thanks for finding us and for the great film! ~mary a.

btw you should send this to every comedian on myspace
