About Ctrl.Alt.Del.
Ctrl.Alt.Del. is a Dj and producer who is living and working in the
Netherlands. Since his day of birth, a cold winterday in 1976, he has
always felt a huge passion for music. At the age of twelve he began
collecting records of various musical styles. His first contact with
electronic music was in the early nineties, when a Dutch radiostation
started broadcasting house music on Saturday evening. His interest for
electronic sounds was awoken, and every Saturday evening, armed
with an old casetteplayer, he recorded the bits of housemusic that he liked.
In the mid nineties Ctrl.Alt.Del. got acquainted to Electro and Idm
music and so his addiction for this type of music began. When he was a
student he started Djing because he felt an urge to infect other
people with the Electrovirus. In the following years Ctrl.Alt.Del.
listened to thousands of Electro tracks, and as a DJ he rocked crowds
with smashing Electrosets. He performed for instance at the Blue Moon
Festival Groningen, Café Vaaghuyzen Amsterdam and the famous Lowlands
Festival, all in the Netherlands.
Ctrl.Alt.Del has been around in the international internet electro
community from day one. At the end of the nineties he had an
international network of electro fans whom he provided with mixtapes.
These tapes had electro flavours from Detroit, Miami, the UK, Berlin
and The Hague. Especially his ‘Time Capsule’ mixes are legendary.
In 1999 Ctrl.Alt.Del. started producing music with a Juno106, MC303
Groovebox and a Yamaha Cs1x. As the years progressed he also started
using Software for his musical productions. When creating music
Ctrl.Alt.Del. has only one goal: self-expression. He never conformed to
fashionable sounds or to other restraining musical opinions.
In the new millennium Ctrl.Alt.Del. launched the controlaltdelete.eu
website and he contributed to ‘InbredTV’, a Dutch group of video
artists, music producers, Vj’s, and webdesigners. In the following
years he also teamed up with other international videoproducers who
made wicked electro videos inspired by Ctrl.Alt.Del.music. The results
can be seen on the CtrlAltDelVideo page on Youtube.
Ctrl.Alt.Del. will never stop creating Electromusic. In this music he
recognizes a digital heartbeat, that keeps the man-machine inside of
him alive.
