One of Rolling Stones ‘Top 5 Up and Coming Female Artists’ and Cherry Lane Music Publishing singer/songwriter, Cori Yarckin, recently released her debut album featuring the new, edgy single, “Everything You Said”. Her angst-driven, yet light hearted commercial alternative rock has been compared to a modern day Joan Jett meets Alanis Morrisette with a splash of modern rock. Cori, originally from Orlando, Fl, and who first got into the entertainment world playing the role of Camille on the Nickelodeon TV series “Noah Knows Best”, has recently made some real noise on the music scene in the past few years. From opening up for such a variety of major acts like 30 Seconds to Mars, Soul Asylum, and the Jonas Brothers, to making appearances on TRL and the Today Show, and having her music in such notable shows as MTV’s “The Hills,” and “The Real World,” Cori is surprisingly humble and yet still hungry for more. “Yes, I’ve done a lot for an independent artist,” says Cori, “but I have much bigger dreams and much bigger goals I want to achieve that go way beyond my music.” Yarckin recently moved to Los Angeles to be able to work with some of the world’s biggest producers and songwriters. Most recently writing music with Mick Mars of Motley Crue, and Poet Name Life (DJ/Producer of the Black Eyed Peas), Cori is ever expanding her craft as a song writer and artist. As a dynamic stage performer, Cori usually plays with her 5-piece rock band to put on an exciting and energetic stage show that has captivated large crowds all around the United States. “Performing is what I love the most,” says Cori, “there’s nothing like a live band behind you while you dance around like a sweaty maniac, singing your heart out… and knowing that people are enjoying what you’re doing.” Besides touring the country, making a mark and making fans and friends, Cori has also made a name for herself in the internet world. With over 207,000 friends on Myspace and over 4 million profile views, Cori’s fans stretch much further than just the United States. With an album recently out in Japan, she is also looking forward to a possible overseas tour early next year.
