CosmicSpaceMunkys (CSM) are Joey G and Bobo
♠DJ Joey G
Garage music pumps through the speakers and the floor gyrates with a crowd leaving trainer marks as their feet carry them off into euphoric heights, the party is in full effect and behind the tables of steel is DJ Joey G, spinning the madness. If there was a party, Joey was there.
Starting out at only 11 years old and already making music as a bedroom DJ, the UK born music maestro spent relentless hours behind locked doors of his room coming up with sounds of different spectrums that would turn a bunch of well mannered posse into wild party people in a matter of minutes. Trashing through all the sound barriers he could, DJ Joey G finally found his trademark in concocting unique hypnotic beats of pulsating percussive tribal funk with a dash pro.
In 2003, Joey G branched out with DJ Spinz and created Stealth Foundations, bringing the clubbing scene a night that still lingers with club heads, the ever memorable Lords of the Underground. Shifting the tunes and pushing past the normal trance music that blared off the dance floor, the night made its mark and kept at the top. There was no doubt in any punters minds who this turntable guru was.
Now after years of success, the DJ spreads his talent and reaches audiences on the tube as he takes on the role as Channel Vs host and only male VJ. Touring and interviewing major celebrities around the world, this model, emcee, VJ and DJ would never leave music behind. You may catch him on screen on Channel Vs The Ticket, [V] Smash Hits, [V] Countdown, Remote Control and The Inter[V]iew, but nothing beats the adrenaline rush surging through your body when he gets behind the decks.
Embarking on new challenges as a music producer, Joey now works closely with Studio@19, a local record label that sets its aim in creating dance music recognition in South East Asia bringing his music to an all new dimension and spreading his infectious tunes around the globe.

Amir Iqram was born with music running through his veins. Fondly called as Bobo to his friends, in the year of 96 at the tender age of ten his father bought him his very first instrument, a classical Yamaha guitar. After a week of experimenting with the frets Bobo decided he would enroll himself for guitar lessons at a small music school in Sungei Wang. His love for music grew and it was then and there when he realized he was destined to make music his career.
After two years of lessons, Bobo decided to try out other various instruments such as the piano/keyboards, bass, drums and the violin. His first solo performance came soon after when he was 14, performing Manbais Kau Ilhamku he opened for Zainal Abidin at a Maybank dinner function. Feeling at home on stage, his first experience would certainly not be his last. In 2001, he and a few friends formed a progressive rock band called Defunct where they performed at Sekolah Menengah Sultan Abdul Samad. True to its name, Defunct didnt last very long so he formed another band called Seven - this time around playing jazz rock where he was the frontman, lead guitarist and composer. The second time around hit the mark and Seven performed at numerous high school proms, HELP Institute, a few times at the famous Pauls Place and even at 2004s Fete de la Musique at Bukit Bintang Street.
Just being part of a band was simply not enough for Bobo; his musical influences grew even further to other genres. After earning Honours for his ABRSM classical guitar exam, he started to experiment with a simple sequencing program called Fruityloops and it gave him his outlet and freedom to compose his own trance, techno and even house music. After he attended the International College of Music (ICOM) pre-foundation program, he ventured on his own and composed enough songs to make his solo album.
Many opportunities came and he started to collaborate and produce for many new artists such as Minda, Saer Ze and Samir. Luck and timing proved to be by his side when he met veteran Atmosphere DJ and Channel [V] VJ Joey G at a barbeque early this year. When they discussed about music they realized they clicked immediately musically and in terms of direction and ideas.
Joey G and Bobo have now recently formed a duo called CosmicSpaceMunkys specializing in funky, sexy and deep house music. In a short span of a month they gained attention from the local music scene and projects are coming their way. They have many new tracks under their belt and even remixed one of Hannah Tans tracks, entitled Pray for Rain.
Their first performance together will be coming up in the very near future and there are plans for many more and hopefully in other countries as well. The future is bright for them as they hope to release a full length album within the year and to work with international artists . Bobo is slowly making his mark in the local music industry and he hopes he will release his full length solo neo-soul album sometime next year.
