Cripper - this name is standing for a Thrash oriented project from Hanover / Germany. The five band members get together in 2005 to take the stages of this world to pieces. Not just musically the five metalheads are pulling together, they even remain at the wheel concerning organisatory matters and a visually elaborated realisation.

Catchy grooves and musical diversification do not leave any desire unfulfilled. The balance between fast blasts, asskicking moshparts, aggressive shouts, tricky guitar riffs and vivid solo parts result in a felicitous final impact. Thereby Cripper combines old school Thrash, melodic death and wide-ranging song structures achieving an explosive mixture.

As early as in the year of founding the 6-track demo Killer Escort Service is recorded on own initiative. At the same time the five creative masterminds are able to gain a good reputation in playing live.

During the summer of 2006 Cripper scores at Thrash Till Death Open Air as well as at the Metalcamp Festival in front of an international audience. In autumn 2006 the band from Hanover comes second place at the United Metal Forces Bandbattle.

2007 starts promisingly. The ensemble moves into the studio to record their first full length album Freak Inside and receives across the board positive reactions from the press. E.g. the German magazine Legacy chooses it to become tip of the edition August/2007.

According to the motto Triple Thrash Treat the band goes on their first tour across Germany during springtime 2007. They organise, play and party together with Spectre Dragon and Hatred.

Shortly after that Cripper creams off the profits when winning both contests of Queens of Metal Festival and Battle of Metal to gain in each case one of the embattled slots. Even the Metalcamp Festival tasted blood and engages the five thrashers again in 2007. Their show turns out to be very well received by the numerously onrushing audience.

Holiday‘s not to come for the group is confirmed for no less than 7 festivals in 2007... and Cripper‘s still hungry for more!

Major manufacturers approve the excited press: from August 2007 on Cripper‘s string-plucking members are supported by Schecter Guitars. Shortly afterwards the companies Dixon Drums, Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals and Protection Racket confirm endorsement-deals, also. And the wild times continue: besides quite a number of single gigs across the country, Cripper supports polish metal veterans Vader for a show of their 25-years-anni- versary tour.

Bastian Helwig takes on the vacant bass-player post in May 2008. Reinvigorated and highly motivated the band sets sail for the festival season. In parallel, Cripper works out new song material for the upcoming album which is due to release in Spring 2009. With help of the lable "SAOL" and the marketing company "CMM GmbH" the album "Feak Inside" is set to reissue in october 2008. The "Freak" starts to scent international air.

In autumn / winter 2008 the successful Triple Trash Treat tour with Lost World Order and Hatred is continued. Alltogether 15 gigs of self-orinisation when it comes to booking and managing.

In the beginning of 2009 the hanoverian thrash-torpedo still heads for a collision. in March/April the band hits the studio again to record the new album "Devil Reveals". The new piece of work has got a lot more facettes and is even more brutal than the first album. Since June 2009 it ravages the gyrus of an increasing number of fans.

On some bigger festival this summer Cripper will present the new material live. Among others, Ragnarock, Suffering Life, Rock Harz, Wacken Rocks South and Wacken Rocks Seaside will have Cripper on their stages.

Cripper - der Name steht fu¨r ein thrashlastiges Projekt aus Hannover. Die fu¨nf Bandmitglieder finden sich 2005 zusammen um gemeinsam die Bu¨hnen dieser Welt auseinander zu nehmen. Sie ziehen nicht nur musikalisch an einem sauber geflochtenen Strang, auch lassen sie es sich nicht nehmen, den Rattenschwanz an Organisation und die ausgeklu¨gelte visuelle Umsetzung selbst zu managen.

Die musikalische Ausrichtung der Band lässt in puncto Groove, Abwechlsungsreichtum und Eingängigkeit keine Fragen offen. Die Balance zwischen schnellen Blasts, arschretenden Moshparts, aggressiven Shouts, vertrackten Gitarrenriffs und lebendigen Soli ergibt ein gelungenes Gesamtbild. Cripper vereint dabei Oldschool-Thrash, Melodischen Death und vielseitige Songstrukturen zu einer explosiven Mischung.

Schon im Gru¨ndungsjahr wird die 6-Track Demo Killer Escort Service in Eigenregie aufgenommen. Parallel dazu können sich die fu¨nf kreativen Köpfe einen guten Ruf als kraftvolle Liveband erspielen. Unter anderem auch auf dem Metalcamp Festival 2006, wo sie vor einem internationalen Publikum ordentlich punkten können.

Anfang 2007 marschiert die Kapelle erneut ins Studio ein um ihr erstes Full-Length Album Freak Inside einzuhämmern. Unter den durch die Bank positiven Presseresonanzen wird das Werk im Legacy zum Tipp der Ausgabe 02/07 geku¨rt.

Als Triple Thrash Treat bestreitet das Gespann im Fru¨hjahr 2007 seine erste kleine deutschlandweite Tournee. Gemeinsam mit den Bands Spectre Dragon und Hatred wird organisiert, gezockt und gefeiert.

Kurz darauf räumt Cripper auf den Contests des Queens Of Metal und Battle Of Metal den jeweils ersten Platz ab und erhält die umkämpften Festivalslots. Auch das Metalcamp hat Blut geleckt und verpflichtet die Thrasher 2007 erneut. Ihr Auftritt erhält großen Anklang beim zahlreich zuströmenden Publikum. Eine Urlaubsauszeit wird sich nicht gegönnt, denn der Gruppe sind in diesem Jahr gleich sieben Festivalshows bestätigt. Und Cripper ist noch lange nicht satt!

Qualitäts-Hersteller geben der begeisterten Fachpresse recht: Seit August 2007 wird Crippers Saitenfraktion durch Schecter Guitars unterstu¨tzt. Mit dem Vertrauen der Firmen Dixon Drums, Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals und Protection Racket werden kurz darauf weitere Endorsement-Deals geschlossen.

Die Zeichen stehen weiterhin auf Sturm: Neben etlichen Einzelgigs und acht Festivalshows 2008 (u.a. Metalcamp, Way Of Darkness, Rockmania, Winterbreath...), rockt die Bande unter anderem als Support fu¨r das 25jährige Jubiläum der polnischen Metal-Veteranen Vader. Im Oktober 2008 wird eine erweiterte Neuauflage des 2007er Albums Freak Inside u¨ber den SAOL-Service der cmm gmbh und dem europaweiten Vertrieb von H‘ Art Music veröffentlicht. Der Kosmos wird vergrößert und der Freak schnuppert die Luft der weiten Welt.

Im Herbst/Winter 2008 wird die bereits 2007 erfolgreich verlaufene Triple Thrash Treat Tour fortgesetzt, zusammen mit Lost World Order und Hatred werden 15 Gigs geplant und gerockt.

Im Sommer werden Cripper das neue Material live vorstellen und mehrere große Festivals beschallen. Unter anderem stellen Veranstaltungen wie das Ragnarock, Suffering Life, Rock Harz, Wacken Rocks South und Wacken Rocks Seaside ihre Bretter zur Verfügung.
