Javi Carrión and Marc Torras (guitarist-singer and bassist respectively), keen on Metallica and Iron Maiden, decided to set up a band which mixed heavy metal and thrash metal. Joined by Pep Margarit on lead guitar and Nil Puiggròs on the drums they formed Night Crawlers.
Just six months later they decided to change the name of the band to Shadon. The band was reduced to three members when Pep Margarit left, however they continued on and recorded their first demo CD called “Taste my hate”.
After experiancing working as a band and performing several gigs, the band broke up due to the high demands it put on band members who were still of young age. Because of this Marc and Javi had a row and their friendship was broken off.
After a year, at the beginning of 2008, they met again to solve their problems and as a result they set up a new band. This time was somewhat different as it had proved difficult to find a drummer, so Javi took on the responsibility of the drumsticks without having any experience. At the same time they decided to change the name of the band to Crysys (their current name), and immediately they started to search for the rest of the band.
The first new member was Pol Mas who joined as the lead singer (also the current singer of Wednesday Fall). Next to recieve the attention of the band was Marc Busqué, a friend whom they had seen playing in his former band called Herion. Marc entered into Crysys as the guitarist and the band began to compose their first songs.
The band soon realised that one guitar was not satisfying enough for them and they thought that using two would provide the band with a more rich and powerful sound. It was not long before they propositioned a collegue to take the post. He was Albert Requena, whom they saw in a gig playing in his hard-rock band called Face. Joining as the second guitarist and he was positive that he could quickly adapt to the fast riffs of thrash metal.
With this team the band was getting ready for their first gig in their hometown. They wroked on composing new songs and creating improved versions of their existing repetoir. Due to certain problems with Pol’s duel commitments, the band had to get a friend of theirs, Julián Baz (bassist-singer of Bourbon Society and ex-bassist of Forgotten Ritual) to substitute for Pol in the first Crysys gig. It was a drastic proposal a few days before the concert. After listening to their first songs in a rehearsal, Julián with his fanatism for thrash metal, proved immediately his qualities to be the frontman. After seeing a great improvement in the band with the substituting singer and discovering his good stage presence, it was clear for the rest of the band to propose Julián to become the new lead singer. After some trials and some time to think about the proposal, he accepted, getting his wish to have a thrash metal band.
Since then Crysys has had hard rehearsals, composed new songs and remastered versions of their favorite thrash metal bands.
After having won the national contest, Martohell Metal Rumble 2008, the band decided to enter a studio for the first time in summer 2008, where they recorded their first single ‘Dead by the fistful of violence’. The single was recorded in Akord’s Studio in Igualada and then used on a compilation for the Spanish label Xtreem Music. In December 2008 they recorded ‘Internal Pollution’ and ‘Mummified by society’ also in Akord’s Studio in order to get their first demo CD called ‘Demonsthrashion’. They were then able to enter and win W:O:A Metal Battle Spain 2009. After their national victory they travelled to Germany in summer 2009 in order to play on Wet Stage in Wacken Open Air 2009. They battled against 19 other bands from all over the world for the grand final where they became winners with a total majority of votes from the jury.
Thanks to this achievement they have signed a discographic contract with Wacken Records in order to record their first CD ‘The Menace’ in the Stage One Studio in Germany together with Andy Classen (ex-Holy Moses) and Mikel Henkel (the current guitarist in Holy Moses) and its world wide distribution besides some endorsement contracts with prestige labels such as Washburn and Eden.
The launching of the CD is forseen to be by mid 2010, so be patient until you can enjoy a good dosage of ultra thrash. Before then, for you to have a snack, the band has recorded their second single called ‘Spawn’, in Moontower Studios which will be also included in the CD.

Una de las mejores bandas y mas representativas del Thrash metal peninsular en los ultimos años, que vendran dispuestos a rompernos unas cuantas vertebras con temas tanto de su CD "Into the coiling arms of mayhem" como de su mini CD "The onset of chaos".

Hola a todos, nos complace informaros que el próximo sábado estaremos actuando en la sala Rocksound junto a nuestros amigos Hardreams.
IMPORTANTE:
1.- No se conoce el orden de actuación. El que vaya pensando que primero actuará uno u otro lo lleva claro. Hemos decidido lanzar una moneda al aire justo antes de empezar, para decidir quien comienza y quien acaba. Esto significa que ni nosotros mismos sabemos cuando actuaremos. 2.- Os rogamos puntualidad . Los horarios están definidos y debemos respetarlos. Se comenzará a la hora estipulada sin ningún tipo de demora. Nuestro objetivo es que estéis todos allí a la hora señalada con ganas de pasarlo bien. 3.- No debe faltar nadie!!! Ambas bandas vamos con ganas de darlo todo, así que el sábado esperamos ofrecer una gran noche de hard rock!!!
