Haircuts That Kill was originally formed by Chuck Mosley with his old friend, Troy, the drummer who lived in South Central Los Angeles. In 1984, I answered an LA Weekly ad looking for a girl singer. The same ad was also looking for a bassist and guitarist, and that's how Cindy Rodriguez and Barry joined. The group rehearsed in the projects, getting searched and cuffed tons even though we were well behaved ("But officer, we're a club not a gang")... All this was during the height of LAPD racial profiling, and because we were racially diverse, it was an HTK rule that no one could carry anything questionable... I loved these guys but we struggled like crazy... most of us were financially strapped, sleeping on friends' couches, getting around by RTD bus... but we got tons of airplay on KXLU from Mike Healey and David U, and often doubled with Nip Drivers. For being active less than a year, we made a short film and several professionally recorded radio shows, but the likelihood of these tapes surviving is next to nil.... As it is, I have about a dozen C90s recorded on boom boxes or Panasonic condensors. The quality of these recordings is a testiment to true punk rock-- what tapes we recorded on were scavanged (usually pop tapes we recycled)... the better tapes were passed on to KXLU..... Hopefully Cindy will surface, or better yet, Chuck! Um, the band disintegrated when Chuck went off to San Francisco to join Faith No More and I hopped into Sandbox with Jack Brewer. All else is history.

Absolutely with you on that one, Louise. We especially love all of them, but especially the empty shell of daisy, aswell as the power chords of the indians, US chevys are okay, too, and last, but first: the BIBLE.
Lets just be Egyptian plagues!
I think I used that word not jet.
But thats what I love. Music for the whole life.
I would do stupid repetitions, so I end
this comment now.
