The basic rules for Captain Zorikh's Costume Contest are as follows: All costume enthusiasts are encouraged to compete. No advance registration is necessary. Performers will be asked to introduce themselves by their character names and present their characters for up to two minutes. Skits, sketches, performance acts, monologues, musical numbers, magic tricks, and troublemaking is encouraged, so long as it does not run over two minutes. Brief is best. If you need background sound or music, you must bring your own playback system, and setup and breakdown of the system will count as part of your two minutes (ie: best to bring your own battery-powered boombox if you must have sound).
Prizes will be awarded through audience applause as judged by Captain Zorikh's patented "applause-o-meter." Certain sponsored prizes will be judged by the sponsors, but the sponsors will be encouraged to accept the advice and consent of the audience.
