NEWS: RIO EN MEDIO HAS A NEW RECORD OUT!! Danielle's 3rd full-length album, "Peace Sequence", was recorded in the California desert. These nine songs flow out on the strings of an old Martin guitar and feature collaborations with veteran Japanese koto player Shoko Hikage and psychedelic multi-instrumentalist Nathan Shineywater (Brightblack Morning Light, Library of Sands). Danielle's unique approach to songwriting and melody are given full reign here in this gentle, inquisitive batch of tunes. "Peace Sequence" is available in a beautiful 6 pane digipack through Womens Work, an independent label focusing on psychedelic and experimental music by women... This album is available at www.WWRecordings.com, through Revolver Distribution or at your local record store. |||||||||||||||||| ABOUT RIO EN MEDIO: RIO EN MEDIO is the song-work of Danielle Stech-Homsy.  RIO EN MEDIO has toured nationally & internationally since 2005, performing alongside such artists as CocoRosie, Vashti Bunyan, BrightBlack Morning Light, Devendra Banhart, Diane Cluck and Grizzly Bear & has performed in LA by invitation of Linda Perhacs & Friends @ Red Cat. Her debut album, THE BRIDE OF DYNAMITE was released on Devendra Banhart's Gnomonsong label in 2006. 2008 saw the vinyl/cd release of FRONTIER, on LA's Manimal Vinyl label. In 2013 Danielle's third full-length album "Peace Sequence" was released on the women-owned exploratory/psychedelic music label Womens Work.
