Sounds Like
Music for people who unironically talk to dogs. An edible beanbag chair. A grilled corn muffin at a diner served by a hyper-active waitress who answers questions you didn't ask, how to hold your own hand, fruits that are commonly mistaken for vegetables, children's music for adults, 'cuddle-core' (unless this is a sub-culture that exists already), and a hybrid between the violent femmes and raffee, queer cupcake-loving honesty pop, an edgy guide to loving every inch of yourself, "that kid"
Me Singing a song about my childhood dog at The Mitten (the house I live in) in Philly:
A Kimya Dawson music Video starring Underthrust! in Costumes I made!
(I'm the one in the pink with the purple tights!)
Kimya Dawson W/ Underthrust and Matt Tobey @ Carnegie Hall covering "World Leader Pretend" by REM (i made the costumes w/ Philly Brings It! and I'm the blue monster)
Dave End- This acoustic D.I.Y. troubador writes Queer Cupcake Loving Honesty Pop and focuses on the details that rhyme. Listening to Dave End's music is like giving your younger self a hug. It makes you feel like you're okay, not despite your struggles but because of them. Tackling subject matters like bullying, homophobia, body image and heartbreak, Dave End could easily fall into the slippery traps of self-pity and earnestness, but he manages to keep his songs aloft with humor, bounce, and jamboree-style glee.

Fat Dinosty Ep 2 is finally done!! Thank you so much for letting me use your music! It would not have been the same without it. You are the best! <3<3 Erin
it totally should iiiii am on Marco Island its at the end of naples, pretty much just infested with old folk and snotty kids BUT toby foster, maryn jones, and ryan starinsky (dunno if ya know em;D)just came to florida and still are here, i would suggest for a more populated area, st. petersburg, i would definitely drive a little for you ;O
today i saw a 15 year old version of you crossing the street in new orleans...i was all like "who does that kid remind me of...oh, totally dave end." he had your body language all-over-pat. i had a strong urge to approach him and give him a hug, then i remembered that 15 year olds arn't supposed to talk to strang old ladies in their cars.
1) i'm really bummed I'm not going to be around for Homo-a-go go. 2) I can't stop listening to the cd I bought of yours when I was in westchester. seriously, you're a lovely songwriter.
your new song sounds beautiful. you were in toronto sometime recently and i didn't even know about the show. but i miss you lots & lots and i hope our paths can cross & cross & cross again, because you are damn important. my email box, phone, and bed are always open for check-in's and snuggles. just sayin'.
