Since 2003, professional musician Dave Preston has been featured on stages supporting local and national acts. In that time, Preston has toured several states and has shared stages with well known acts like John Butler Trio, Ottmar Leibert, Los Lobos, Michael Franti with Spearhead, and Sister Hazel. He has been teaching since 2002 and loves giving to minds eager to accept the challenges of the music business.
Preston’s first ambient music release, "BE" quickly gained the attention of famed film composer and ambient innovator Robert Rich, who called the work "Thoughtful, never facile."
After gaining national radio play through NPR and international radio syndication through Radio Despi (Spain) and Echoes (USA), "BE" debuted in September
2008 at 91 on the New Age Reporter Charts. The following month, after con-tinued heavy rotation on an increasing amount of radio stations and syndicated shows, "BE" shot up the charts to 66.
