""They smoked and rocked the place like Mt. St. Helens was going off again." -- Concert review
David Vest was NW blues legend Paul deLay's sidekick for a number of years before joining the Northwest PIANORAMA tour with D.K. Stewart and Kenny Blues Boss Wayne. He played his first gig in 1957, jammed with Big Joe Turner in the '60s, and has toured with Jimmy T99 Nelson, Floyd Dixon, and Lavelle White. Along the way he wrote the first songs ever recorded by country legend Tammy Wynette, played for a gospel quartet, backed Red Foley at a show where all the stars got robbed, and became the first American artist ever to record an album in Romania.

Thanks for the add. I Hope you had a nice Christmas. I love your playing! And in my own humble opinion, Paul deLay and his band were the very best that Northwest had to offer! I was fortunate enough to see you perform live, with Paul, on two seperate occassions. Both, highlights of my musical adventures. Here's hoping you have a safe and musical Happy New Year! I hope our paths cross again.
Hope to get on your blog space. Sorry if I never heard you while in Houston. Tommy DarDar spoke well of you. Anybody you thinks as much of T99 as you do is alright by me. We had a classy send off this past week.
